Tree at Dusk/ Cloudy Moon 19” square

I love the sky in the moments before day turns to night.  The black silhouette of the trees against the darkening sky is so beautiful.  These pieces began from an idea I had rolling around in my head.  One day I decided to give it a try and was amazed at how much I loved it!

The dusk sky is painted with acrylic paint over a wood mosaic that is hand built from reclaimed wood.  The tree is engraved into the wood.
